Original Writeup By iker42

Write Ups Are Easiest Converted When Using Mozilla Fire Fox

To create an article you have to create a page for it.

1. From the main page, highlight the Main_Page text in the URL bar

2. Type in the title of your page. Make sure to capitalize all of your words and separate them with underscores. Try to keep this short but to the point. This will show up on your page

3. Hit enter and see your new page. Hit the edit button to open up your edit box.

First Things First. Add a title!!

For consistency and error free work, go to the edit page of another article and copy and paste the Title to your new page. Now, when using firefox

1. Select all the text of your write up

2. Left Click and select "View Selection Source"

3. Copy everything in the new window and past it into your write up.

Wiki formatting is unique, so you will have to remove most of the current formatting. 1. Check for extra breaks (< br >). This will spread everything out alot. I like to keep everything to one space apart 2. Remove any smileys, they do not show up correctly. 3. Remove the image tags from pictures. just the http:// *** .Jpg is needed. Make sure images are spaced at least once, or they will show up next to each other or bump the text to the sides of the images 4. Correct hyperlinks. To add a Click Here for a thread. Use brackets [ ] around the hyper link and right after the hyperlink space once and type Click Here

Tips: 1. USE THE SHOW PREVIEW BUTTON A LOT!! IT WILL HELP YOU CATCH MISTAKES

2. USE OTHER WRITE UPS TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH YOUR OWN

3. PM ME(iker42) OR GIVE ME A CALL/TEXT, I CAN GUIDE YOU THROUGH ANYTHING

At the end, make sure you make it your own. In the formatting bar, the second to last button is a signature button. http://wiki.dieseltruckresource.com/skins/common/images/button_sig.png
